Eat more fat. You'll stay satiated longer. I know you said "lots of olive oil", that could be subjective though, expiriment.

OK, I'm eating more! Today at 1:oo I ate lunch (fish, eggs, vegis, salad and squash, lots of olive oil) until I was past full and got hungry by 4:30 (about an hour later than usual). I notice that I definitely get hungry earlier on days I work out.

I eat more at at a time and don't get so hungry in between. When I do get hungry, I don't want to kill for food. No more stomach aches or blood sugar swings and a definite decrease in recovery time after a workout.I don't miss carbs at all, especially the cooking part.
Paleo Good!

Emily, it sounds like you need to eat more! Like Josh, I find that I'm far less hungry, less often as a primal/paleo eater.

Oh yeah. And if you've not yet read "Good Calories, Bad Calories", go get it. It's thick, dense, and not your typical airplane/beach. But, once you realize that the science DOESN'T support the conventional wisdom of today, you'll be begging for more bacon (and losing weight...and lowering your cholesterol).

Agree with Emily (above), except for the hungry part. I fry my eggs in the morning in bacon fat (the results of 3 strips cooked just prior). Very light and fluffy! And I'm never "hungry", outside of when it's time to eat. I fill up easily, don't have mood swings, don't have cravings, do have energy to burn, do notice the difference in the mirror, and love not eating sugar. Though I do snack from time-to-time on dried fruits, I am keeping my carbs low overall to the best of my ability. Beer sometimes sneaks in....mmmm.....beer.

Since going Paleo/primal I don't feel tired and bloated after I eat, I have more energy throughout the day, more lean muscle mass and I eat more often. And it's really not been difficult to do. I also have stayed well this winter and I know it's partly because of cutting out the sugar/carbs which depresses the immune system. Overall I feel great! Hungry a lot, but great!
